OrbitWorks Aerospace Inc. is a hands-on drone workshop in Binghamton, NY — designing, assembling, and flight-testing platforms for photography, FPV, mapping, education, and commercial ops.

Our Story

From Aerospace Curiosity to a Local Drone Shop

OrbitWorks Aerospace was founded in February 2021 with a passion for aerospace technology. What started as space-systems curiosity quickly became a practical drone workshop — building airframes, integrating electronics, and helping people get airborne for real jobs and real hobbies.

Today we focus on civilian and commercial platforms: cinema and photography rigs, FPV kits for freestyle and racing, mapping and survey systems, custom builds, Parts 107–ready training, and STEM outreach for local schools. Every OrbitWorks platform is assembled and tested in Binghamton on a domestic / US-sourced component path. Shop COTS listings are third-party parts labeled separately for builders; defense programs follow the stricter domestic path described on the Defense Portal.

We also support specialized defense programs for qualified government and contractor partners — see the Defense Portal for those inquiries.

Next up: expanding our workshop capacity so more makers, crews, and commercial operators can fly US-built gear.

Founder & CEO
Served in the U.S. Army as an infantryman. Aerospace engineer with an A.S. in Aerospace Engineering, FAA Part 107 certification, and USIDHR-certified human rights instructor credentials. Built OrbitWorks from the ground up — handling design, fabrication, flight testing, education outreach, and business development. Background in construction and general contracting reinforces a hands-on approach to building drones domestically.

Brings deep expertise in IT systems design, electronics repair, and computer hardware — building systems from the ground up — alongside extensive leadership and management training.
